I gave my chickens today...........................................

Mine got some salad (tomatoes and lettuce) which they loved!!!! and I'm going to start feeding one of my hens (she lays soft shells) layer feed mixed with yogurt for extra calcium she will really go nuts for that.

Gave mine part of a some what over ripe banana. They liked it. I got some cottage cheese to try later.

Just gave mine some of their first macaroni and cheese and it was a huge hit

Me too. I am going to give my chickens oyster shells to to make their shells harder.

Me too. I am going to give my chickens oyster shells to to make their shells harder.

I give mine free choice of oyster shells and egg shells but I hear some chickens flat out don't like eating those things so I think one of my hens fits in that category

that's why I'm trying the yogurt and layer feed.

I haven't given the shells to them yet. So I shouldn't be worried if they don't like the shells.
