I got a new puppy! *Pic* Please help me guess the breed.

OK, here are more of the pics I took outside...she's hard to get a pic of because she's either running (blurry pics) or she's under my feet. She's 4 months old, DOB is 12/20/09.

She doesn't have any black on her tongue yet, but on Diamond (my previous Chow mix), her tongue turned black over time. It was completely pink when we got her, then got 1 black spot (I thought she licked a Sharpie or something...LOL), then more black spots over the next year or so, until there was more black than pink...

OK everybody...guess the mix!

She is adorable, she has shepard qualities and one way to tell if she may be chow is does her tail curl up over her back and does she have any black in her mouth? The roof of her mouth or on her tongue that is a sure thing she is part chow!

There's gotta be some GSD in there somewhere! Her head doesn't look "chow" like to me, although if she has a purple tongue, there you have it! I'm almost betting those ears will start to stand up after a while

Our shiba inu cross had ears like that and they eventually stood up like a german shepherds ears.

Could also have some collie in her...

She is VERY cute! I do like "Fergie" as a name choice

She could be shephard/chow. I had one for many years and he was an excellent dog! I wouldn't put too much stock in the tongue color with her being a mixed breed. Even chows or shar-pei purebreds can end up with spotted/lavender or light colored tongues. You are right that it takes a while for the coloring to come in.
Enjoy her! She is a beauty! And, I love your wildflowers! Do you have bluebells too?

Well, she definitely looks Shepherd to me but her paws aren't incredibly huge so I'm thinking whatever she's mixed with is a smaller dog and with that color I'd agree there may be some Sheltie in there among other things. But she's wonderful whatever she is and I'm SO glad you got her from a rescue.

Does this work if I send the dog to you to be trained? Am I still going to be better?

I am so wanting a puppy and I soooo have no skills at training. Heck. I dont even know how my kids ended up potty trained.

I have the attention span of a gnat which gives most puppies one up on me.

Sorry for the hi-jack
