See, now I did it the other way--- read the Incubating and Hatching Eggs forum, got on Ebay for the incubator, turner and stuff. A week later I went to the feed store and LOL they've had everything there a little cheeper plus no shipping!

You don't think it will happen to you...oh no...not me...Gotcha!

If hatching is an addiction- I'm just wondering what you all do with all the birds you end up with? Do you sell them- raise them- breed them- eat them? Because at some point you would run out of room for keeping them right?

I have to quit sometime or my husband is going to scream. I have 3 bators going right now. 11 or 12 babies in the kitchen and 16 in the living room.

Raise the babies, sell some, keep others. I can't bring myself to eat a chick I hatched yet, but I haven't hatched the hundreds that others have.

Hatching is addictive! Come to my site, Hatcher's Anonymous. I will teach you that you will have much better hatch rates if you follow my program and do not mix hatch times and types. Yes you may be able to hatch a chicken and duck and a quail or pheasant from a hundred mixed eggs, but with my program of sticking to 1 hatch type on 1 hatching date you will get so many more. Mixing is the Crack of the hatching addiction!

Thanks for the answer nefereset- I can feel the urge - to hatch- getting stronger and stronger- I've been checking out bators on ebay and hatching eggs- everywhere... but I only have 6 chickens with no roos- can't have any roos- so if I hatch- won't I end up with at least 50% roos? Then what??? just wondering...

Awww cute!!!! I hatched out a serama/ee mix early spring here and she lays a little pink egg but hatched out of a blue egg. No muff, blue eggs and a bizzare comb yet tiny like a serama with a nice type to her.

OP- It is VERY addicting but sooo much fun watching them hatch and grow. Best of luck to you on your hatch
