I got my chicks today!

Pepper, my RIR is currently sleeping in my hand while I draw digitally/write this. And I love hoe chickens look through all stages. Their teenage stage amuses me, but I still lover it. The polish frizzle you have sounds cute, along with the BO/red star ^^ Though I bet they are all cute

Here's the Polish

The BuffX

The EE? Cochin

The BO

And last but not least, the little Silkie.

What's funny is that the Polish, Cochin, and Silkie are a little less than a week older than the other two but they are smaller than them

All chicks are very cute. And I did think that it looks rather like an EE. I guess I will just have to wait and find out. You'll have to tell me how your Wyandottes turn out. I have a gold laced wyandotte rooster who we were thinking about getting hens for, but a friend of ours had some and said that they were skittish. I'm also trying to convince the parents to let me build an incubator so I can hatch my own chicks once I've got some nice breeding stock. We also have geese, turkeys, ducks and eventually peacocks that will be having fertile eggs. Yay critters!

@FarmGirlForLife That third chick you posted is a partridge Silkie.

It's got the black skin, crest "nub" and eye liner of a partridge Silkie.

Really? Wow, maybe she thought the little frizzle was an EE then. I didn't even know silkies came in that color, but I just looked it up and saw pictures and they did in fact look exactly like mine. I also saw pictures of full grown ones. They are sooo pretty!

But now I have to wait until it gets a bit older to see the actual shades on it. Thank you for clearing that up for me :)

All chickies are adorable. Its why we all have such a hard time with chicken math (haha). Hopefully my chickies will be joined by another batch pretty soon. Although they will have to be more productive breeds. No more just for looking at, except for a few more lakenvelder hens to get a breeding quartet, and a few other hens so I will eventually be able to start breeding my on birds. That darn chicken math

I forgot to say we named them all! =O

The Buff O is: Anna
Ancona: Alice
GLW: Ruby
SLW: Lacey
Black Aus: Loki
RIR: Pepper

Their names all fit them pretty well, but Loki is no goddess of mischief... she's actually at the bottom of the pecking order I think
