I agree with pips&peeps on the stages of development. That does seem like a lot of fluid but since they died before they could hatch they might not have finished absorbing what they were needing. If they were in your Sportsman I do not see how the humidity could have been too high so what I think might have happened is what happened with all my waterfowl in the Sportsman - they were getting turned too often, too much. A mother goose does not move around hardly AT ALL. Not even half as much as my chicken broodies.
But, it sucks they got so close....if possible when you try sebbie eggs again, give them to a broody or turn them 2X's a day by hand...I bet that helps...
