If you have one that's sore...use some natural sea salt (non iodized) dissolved in warm water. Soak your ear (with an over saturated cotton ball hold a shot glass under ear) for 10 min or so. It's great to promote healing and keeping them clean. Real piercers recommend using the salt water over anything else to speed healing.
DO NOT TOUCH the earring with your fingers till healed. Use a piece of kleenex to turn the earring. Your fingers are huge germ carriers even if you wash them!!!
I've got several piercings and use the salt water all the time... even if they get irritated from something. My dermal piercing likes to flare up on occasion so I just tip a shot glass of salt water over it and let it soak. It will help get rid of the tingly itchy feeling and, helps with any infection and pain.
If it gets super red, and puffy, she may need to see a dr and take it out.
lol, i knowYou young people just tire me out.
Getting there now! Patience!
i touch my ears all the time too and haven't had trouble... She was allergic to the cleaner, i know it sounds weird but, its true, since she used salt water she hasn't had a problemI disagree. I touched my ears all the time with my finger, never got an infection. But, you see, when I did get this REALLY bad one, I had stopped putting peroxide on my ears all the time.
What I'm saying is keep your ears CLEAN.
Oh, and you mom sounds like shes allergic,. Try and take the earings out, and put gold ones in (if their silver) or anti-allergic (cannot think of name) and ya, I know yur suppod to replace AFTER 6 weeks, but if your allergic (i was) you get a NASTY infection, so get them out NOW,
