i guess i am the only one who does not care for tattoos

Yeah, some tatts are really important to the person. They mean something very important to the person.. either losing a loved one.. or a fight with cancer, or whatever..
So people should respect that..

But theres also a lot of trashy ones out there too...
Eh, i dont care either way,.. to each their own business, its their body..

I don't care for tattoos in any way shape or form, but find it very interesting that out of my 5 kids, the boys have none but the girls each have some. One DD has her children's initials on her inside wrist. One has a steer head on her shoulder that her other sister designed for her. Not sure what the 3rd daughter has but I am sure she has at least one.
Apparently the ones they have have deep meaning for each gal. No, they didn't ask me my opinion and don't show them off. I don't say much about them.
OTOH, my three gals are very independent and opinionated, but very loving and intelligent ladies. If I objected strongly enough, they would lovingly tell me it was none of my d* bizness what they did with their bods!

If you are gonna be a teacher you better prepare yourself for middle school boys. I have had 2 and I can tell you a woman teacher with tats is gonna be fun.

My initial ones were hidden from mom, just because she is one of those judgemental types. I have chosen locations that I CAN hide if I want to. I have put a lot of thought into my tattoos. It is not something I share with everyone and usually don't tell anyone until they know me, which surprises them because I am one of those types they would never expect to have any. I am multi-faceted in a manner that lets me adapt to many environments and fit in with many crowds. I am currently going back to school to be a high school science teacher(I am a science and math geek) and have started my own product line lately that I am trying out(before introducing). I consider myself a chameleon and am very comfortable with myself, which I think is the most important thing.

I can ride a motorcycle, operate a fork truck, and cook things you would beg for the recipe and my husband is equally capable(and yes, he has a few tats) and respectable

We have only chosen the option to hide our tats because we may need to seek a job from the "judgemental" crowd to support our family...

To each there own , ever"" tat"" tells a story I've been told ..........makes you wonder what they were thinking with some of them ? I've heard the lower back ones that women seem to get can deter some medications when in child birth ? not sure which neddle they get back there , but my wife was told by a nurse that they can be a deterant ?? I've seen a lot of beautiful girls ,that have a full sleeve "" Tat "" and I am always drawn to look at that and not the person , which I feel is a sad thing ! I personally don't have one and I won't say that I never will get one , but as in a the case with someone I know who's son passed away at a very young age who has talked about getting one over his heart in memory of his son ? well there is maybe some justifacation in it after all ?

As I had stated before, I have a tattoo right on my lower back, where an epidural would go. It should not interfere where the needle should go. They feel for vertebrae when putting those in, not just by looking at the skin. I did not have an epidural, but have had two different nerve blocks for two different hip replacements. Though the needle was not inserted where the tattoo is, they did have to first feel around for the right spot, which is where the tattoo was. Nurses said that tattoos back there are not a problem.

What is a hoochie mama?

Lol. A "hoochie mama" is someone that wears a little less clothing than they should. Usually, bustline "bursting" out, or super tight pants and dresses, or shorts WAY too short. Usually, on women with a less than appropriate body for that too.

I have one teenage son and my daughter(16) has many male friends. Some know I have tats and some don't(depends on season they hang out since we live on a lake). It never is a big deal, we have discussed them and after the initial questions they don't ever seem to notice them again

. I never glorify them and even talked my daughter's friend out of a hand tat that her mom gave her permission to get(she's 16, not even sure that could legally happen)
