I hatched a supermarket quail egg! Help!

I have two day old quail and I've been watching them like a hawk.
I can tell you that mine did not eat much at all the first 30+ hours.

Make sure you smash what ever feed you have now up really well. Almost to a powder form.

My dummies just got finished eating well just now. I wet the feed just a little to make sure they were getting water too.

The dark stuff you see below is Nutri-Drench.

Congratulations on the hatch & pray for mine, I just locked them down yesterday. They don't sell nutri-drench here but I got my hands on something called "chick booster OS", is that about the same thing?
Let me look that up real quick.

This?

Yes it is about the same.
The only reason I prefer Nutri-Drench is because it's fast absorbing and doesn't have to be digested.

Thanks so much Texas Kiki. I do the best I can to be prepared for whatever emergencies come my way with my flock, and with the availability (or unavailability) of products I try to keep whatever I might need on hand. After asking for some 13 years (off and on asking), and being told "no" "no" "no", I finally got an incubator in a little over a month ago. This is my second quail hatch with it, gifted the first hatch to my neighbor to get them 'into it'. I plan on pretty much keeping the incubator going as I enjoy both eggs and meat. The chicks I gave the neighbor are of different breeding stock than the hatch I'm working on this time, with the idea being that we can swap breeders down the road to keep strong, healthy genetics. Thanks again for all of the help you provide to me and to others on the forum.

Good luck on the hatch.
