They said "Enjoy by May 17", so I think that made them a little over three weeks old when I incubated them. I am definitely enjoying them, and ironically they hatched on May 17.

Here is a pic

I had added them as an afterthought to a batch of eBay eggs, just to fill out the incubator, but without a lot of hope. Two of them are squat, wider, and unnaturally neon yellow in the sun (boys?). The one in the back is a softer color of yellow, smaller, with wing feathers, and with more delicate features (girl?).

(The yellow one half out of the picture is an EE)

They were sold as fertile eggs. I go them from Trader Joes, but Whole foods has them. I am not the first person who has done this here.
justino15, and jeaucamom have both hatched this year from fertile eggs they got from Safeway.

I remember taliking to our very own moderator eggchel about her chicken named "Safeway". I didn't understand the name. Turns out she got some "free range eggs" from Safeway and hatched one. Guess what she named it.
