Since you've been there for 14 years with no problems that tells me in itself that the probability of problems are almost certainly non-existent. I would irritate them by totally ignoring them. I mean totally. You don't see them at all!

Some folks just ought to live in a bubble.

Some people need to be put on an island as so we can't even hear them

And all you complaining neighbors are just jealous over what you and your family have going on there. Just go and get the restrictions for the AR zoning and make copies and send it to them. That oughta shut them up.

Ditto...the best revenge is to be the better person....take the high road, ignore them, and in the end, they willonly show themselves to be the bigger chicken turds, while you can know you did nothing wrong. You have been there l4 years without any problems...that IMO says it all. Good luck to you and God Bless you!!

I used to compete at a local sportsman's club in the ATA. This club has been around for 50+ years... along comes a developer and the other side of the road is drained and raised. Houses are built. Now the new neighbors are complaining because we start shooting on Saturdays and Sundays at 8am......... Hello, 50 years in business and you are just now figuring this out?!

There are quite a few farms in the area where I live. I could spend 10+ miles on all the dirt roads out here without touching pavement..... that being said, One of the neighbors from down the road was driving his big combine down the road with a corn planter (don't remember the actual name) but it is pretty big and takes up all of the dirt road. The new folks in the area (only lasted in the country a couple of years anyways) and I were stuck behind the tractor with about a top speed of 15 miles an hour. No biggy here it was a nice and quiet day.

The next day the lady is walking past the house and sees me working on a car and stops to talk. She then started complaining about the tractor from the day before. I told her that it was just a part of living in the country... just like using cow manure to fertilize the fields across and behind her house.. needless to say that is why she didn't last long

Sounds like the people in Colorado Springs who were complaining about all the air plane traffic in their ritzy new neighborhood.

Their ritzy new neighborhood was build by....

THE AIR FORCE ACADEMY!!!!

Freaking morons.

My DD lived in middleburg for years and raised horses, guess the neighbor hood has really changed and not for the better. Take pix, and keep everything in a folder, as my district manager told me when I managed apts and someone moved out and SORTA messed up things, a judge looks at a picture over a persons word. marrie

do these people think that the food on the grocery store shelves is put there over night by little elves.
NO FARMS NO FOOD

I sooo totally agree with the comments on this post, that being said, Maybe you should invite the local television people out or the newpaper and give them a tour of your little bit of heaven?????

Have them talk to the close neighbors and see how they feel as well. I think it would be a great interview and you could plug BYC as well!!!!

Send a copy of the letter to your local newspaper, letter to the editor, with your Title as 'If you want city, you should not have moved to the country'

After reading this thread, I vow that if I ever see new developments starting to carve out lots for housing, I WILL post signs all around my property fences:

"It will look and smell the same after you move in. Sniff test first, don't wait til later"

Same thing is happening now were my parents live. People are complaining about all the 4 - wheeler noise coming from the forest. The neighborhood was build in a track of land riddled with trails that have around for decades and they are calling the police because they cant enjoy their land because of the 4 wheelers. Of course the police officers just shrug and ask why they dont buy a 4 wheeler.
