I Hate wrapping presents

A neat trick I learned from my mom: Buy fake flower bunches, especially the ones that look like holly or cranberries on a stick (Or is that thing portraying a real plant? I've never figured that out.), and cut off a sprig, tie knot of ribbon around, and tape to front of present. She also buys those long strands of tinsel fluff (that's the technical term) and tapes a section of that to a present.

One year I took a few days and made pretty cloth bags with drawstrings in a variety of colors and sizes. Now my wrapping consists of stuffing the gift in and pulling the drawstring. Easy peasy and it even looks pretty under the tree.

I dont dislike wrapping, but lately for birthday gifts, I am buying gift bags. (its easier).
I do wrap xmas gifts, for my 2 little kids, its a joy seeing them tear into the gifts.

luckily its once a year xmas wrapping!

I see no point in it since the kids saw their one and only presents arrive by mail,but I guess I will go through the motions of it. When I can I use gift bags- the same ones over and over.

UPDATE: I went to Walgreens tonight, and they do indeed have the $1.99 rolls. You have to buy 2 to get that price. The rolls are 50 square feet, though there was one roll that was only like 2 square feet, but it was the foil type. Foil, shine, and glitter always increase the price or decrease the size. The good news (for me) is I found tartan gift wrap!!! (Okay, some people might just call it plaid)
