Well this is the last post on this hatch. None of the EE eggs hatched at all. I think I got stuck on them. The guy will get the benifit of the doubt from me though. The eggs were at least a week old by my count when they got here and maybe even older. They had bad weather that suppose to have held the guy up from shipping them and I don't think he ever changed out the eggs from the start. I will just chalk it up to experence and let it go. The babies I hatched from the first batch are doing well. I have them in an outside brooder. I sold half and all that I sold are doing well. I did lose 1 BCM to being trampled in the brooder. There was plenty of room and three heat sources in a brooder that is 8 feet by 4 feet. There were also 4 waterers and 4 feeders. He was smallish compared to some of the Black Jersey Giants. I now have only 3 BCM. I hope 1 is a male and 2 are females. Thanks for following the postings and good hatching to all. Later, Dave

Dave, I'm sorry you got stung. I'm like you, though, I usually give the benefit of the doubt.

I should have some nice eggs that you would like later this summer. I need to isolate the birds, and also check for fertility.

I'll let you know. I am only going to ask for shipping, because it is you, and you love your wife so much, and also because I am just starting and I need to test my eggs.

I have put little aprons on some of my birds because of amorous roosters, so they SHOULD be fertile.

Last year I got a whole bunch of EE eggs and I think only one hatched.

That is so sweet of you. I do love Paula with all my heart. I have know her since we were in 5th grade and dated all through High School. She went to a different college from me. I went to the NC mountains to tell a friend I was going to ask her to marry me and it snowed and I got stuck for a day. The problem was an old girlfriend went to Appalatchian State also. Paula is a true redhead and when she came home to Washington, NC and I was not there she called my mom. My mom told her I was at Appalatchian State. Paula put her 2 and 2 together and when I got home to Washington and called her she told me to drop dead. I had spent the whole week at her College before I went to see my guy friend. Paula thought I had then gone to see the old girlfriend. She would not talk to me and we went our seperate ways. We got back together at our 10th year class reunion and never looked back. We have been married for 21 years now and have 2 kids 20 and 17. Paula has been through heck with me. 5 major back surgeries and 14 years of being disabled and 12 of those years fighting for disability. Paula and the kids are my life. I love them all and my other family members also but Paula is very special to me.
Did not mean to tell my life story but when it comes to her I just can't believe how good I have it. We may not have much worldly things and just make it pay check to pay check but we are always there for each other. I wish everyone could be as content as we are and as happy. Thanks for listening and I wish you well. Take care and feel free to drop me a line anytime. I enjoy talking with you. You are a very sweet person. Later, Dave:cool:
