I have a beautiful chicken raised from a chick don't know the breed.

Farmer Connie, I know I'm asking a lot of questions sorry about that could you tell me when hens of this breed start laying eggs. I think I also posted this next question but I'm one feeding her poultry feed I purchase at the pet store its a starter feed not the pellets. Is there something else I should be giving her. She's a pet chicken and I don't have any others and want to give her the nutrition she needs. Also should i schedule a visit to the vet? Thanking you in advance for your advice.

They are docile. Strong, fast growing size wise and lay eggs @ 5 months. BUT don't except new introductions well. The roos are aggressive aeh holes

I only have on chicken.. I wish I could show you a video I cradle her like a baby I have been washing her feet in water since she was a chick and she follows me around in the yard, she's my buddy chicky girly hen.

I need to set her up in a coop and a nesting box. I am new to this and I have her indoors and bring her outside in the daytime. I'm so neurotic that a predator will kill her since she's the only one. I really need advice and help.

Calcium big time... egg production drains their calcium levels dry. you may experience/no shell/soft shell eggs . all tell tale signs of calcium in diet

Chickens are social animals. You should have a min of 2.

omg!! is it bad that she's alone? how do I give her calcium in crushed pill in water? Where would I get another chicken her age and its late and hard for me to bring another one into the picture now

What do chickens eat at 3 1/2 months old is it only chicken starter feed?
I haven't put her in a coop for fear that the raccoons and opossums will get to her.. I not sure what type of coop to get since she's a loner chicken.
