I have a broody hen and I am thinking of putting her with live chicks in an external cage. Any suggestions?

If they are less than 24hrs old you can pull it off and sneak them in at night under her. I have successfully done this several times. If they are older then that it will not work. Also your girl needs to be 15+ days into her broody from my experience.
3 weeks ago I pulled a gal off her broody by placing incubation eggs under her that was peeping. She raised them perfectly for me! She had been sitting about 15-16 days. (I kept collecting the daily eggs under her )
