My Serama hen hatched out a baby that could only be fathered by my Silkie roo. The baby looks like my other Seramas (wing structure, coloring, stance, etc) but it has traditional silkie legs and feet. Feathered legs, 5 toes per foot, thick ankles, etc. It is currently 5 weeks old but is still the tiniest thing ever. No hint of a comb yet, almost fully feathered with adult feathers, but still no larger than my "normal" pure bred chicks. I'd love any and all input concerning sex, or future outcome of appearance that anyone might have. This little thing was a complete surprise and an exciting OOPS. We want to keep it no matter what gender but I'm curious what other people have gotten from silkie/serama mixes. I just weighed the baby and it's 56 grams. The Serama pictured with it is the grandfather and he weighs 295 grams soaking wet, his daughter is the hen that hatched it out. Here's a short video clip taken today of "him" playing. It's like this non stop, lol.
