I have a chick that pipped a small hole and hasn't moved for about 8 hours. Should I help it out?

Don't feel bad, some chicks just don't have the will to survive. I never help out until at least 24hrs after pipping. When they pip the chicks then start absorbing the yolk. That is what they will need to survive on for 72 hrs. You can kill them if you help too early. :hugs

Both are doing fine, the neck on one was bent for a time but is fine now. Will move them to the brooder in awhile.Have a hard time keeping the hummidity up after I go to bed I soak the sponge in there, when I got up this morning at 6 it was 19 in there. The air here is very dry because the furnace is still running,it snowed here this morning.During the day I can keep an close eye on it and add water when it gets down to 60% or so and I do add a number of times through out the day.
