I don't really have any close friends I can tell so I'm telling you guys!

He's a really nice guy, we've been friends ever since I started going to church where his dad preaches, (yes the pastor's son), my dad is already threatening to log on to my facebook and send him some msg, lol he threatened to do the same thing to my sister's fiance who is a great guy.
He's been busy working lately but we we're talking online while he was at work

he used his phone he says he's allowed to, I don't know though... lol. We we're talking about music, then the conversation got really random, and he ended up asking me if I was going to watch New Moon when it came out, he suggested we should go see it, now we're going out to eat AND a movie

My mom didn't push it but she let me know how she felt about dating when you're really young, so I'm 18 and going on my first date, which I'm totally fine with I know some guys I could have gone out with and they turned out to be jerks.
Anyway, I'm just nervous/excited, there might be a little controversy around me and this guy and my group of friends, it's complicated. None of my friends know yet and I'm freaking out, I don't know what their reaction is going to be, I hope they'll accept it if we continue to go out. They're obviously not really close friends, just the ONLY people that I ever hang out with.
Okay, that's all I wanted to say I just had to throw my feelings somewhere. Thanks for reading

Why does your dad even have access to your facebook account anyway?? Him threatening stuff like that would just really really rub me the wrong way....to the point that I wouldn't be living there very long at all.

My mom gave me a bunch of crap for my first boyfriend when I was 18 and 19. He finally cheated on me, then broke it off with me, and that's ok we were just youngins anyway, but I'll never forget all the stuff mom said. I almost think she was jealous that I was spending time with him and his family. The stuff she said/did was definitely not out of concern for my wellbeing or happiness.
Why do parents do that kind of stuff???
anyway end rant

I sincerely hope that you have FUN on your date!!!!!!!!!

That's the most important thing at this point. Have a good time and enjoy the movie!

Forget what your friends think. Who you date is none of their business anyway.
Go, have dinner, see the movie, have fun, you are already friends so there's nothing to be nervous about.
It's just food and a movie, you're not getting married or anything....Chill out. Relax, Have FUN.

Then come back and tell us every little thing!
LOL

Oh, and Her dad has access to her facebook because she is still living at home and (I assume) is a good parent.
If a kid wants total privacy, move out, get a job, and support yourself. Otherwise, you live by the "house rules". (just my two cents)
