I have a goat problem...

There is no aiming for a lip with this guy when he's got "that frame of mind". He moves faster than Michael Jackson.

I've often wondered how well a piezo gas grill lighter would work as a deterrant.. The little clicky push-button thing that lights your grill (or doesn't, usually). They make a pretty good spark when they're clean, and I seem to recall putting one to me leg once as a younger man and being quite surprised by a pretty sturdy little jolt..

Don't waste your time with water. Get a cattle prod and use it. Bucks can be very dangerous, and he needs to learn right now that you are off limits, and that you pack a punch if you don't get the respect and the distance you require.

Hi! I have a buck boer that was hand raised. He was very friendly untill I took a whip-horse- to his nose. Now that may sound cruel but it's your body or his!! We now can walk into his pen and he stands a respected distance away.. You are just another goat to him. You need to be the alpha doe. He respects her.. You will find what works for him. It may be that the water will work but it sounds like he might like water a bit to much.. Try hot (but not burning )water it might make him think he is bleeding and make him leave you alone-you may have to do this several times before it works. Good luck!!

He's much smaller than a cow. Won't a cattle prod hurt him? I don't want to cause brain damage...he's bad enough as is.
Are these prods adjustable?

A cattle prod, also called a stock prod, is a handheld device commonly used to make cattle or other livestock move by striking or poking them, or in the case of a Hot-Shot-type prod, through a relatively high-voltage, low-current electric shock.

I wish I had known to use that before I was attacked by a buck, and soured on goats for life!

The friend who uses a cattle prod has Kiko meat goats, so my future buck isn't a dainty, little thing. I don't know how much he weighs.
