I have a good home in CA for a roo.

Sara-
I would love to have him if we can figure out how to get him here. I've actually been in contact with 2 other people who have Americauna roos to give away but you're all in in California. Darn the luck!
I'll e-mail.

Sorry I've been away a while. Left my lap top in Las Vegas and just got it back yesterday! What a dork!

Sararose, your boy is beautiful! I just told my horse/mule/ dog/chicken sitter yesterday that I would take a rooster that another one of her clients is getting rid of because his other rooster is beating the crap out of him. I don't know what he is, just that he's white. She's gonna take him to her house to grow is tail feathers back on his red butt because I don't have any place to keep a rooster seperated. If I hadn't already commited to this one, I would sure love to have had yours! Are 2 roo's too much for 24 hens?

2 roos would be fine for 24 hens. Correct me, someone, if I am wrong, but don't they say about 12 hens per rooster is ideal? One would probably be the dominant one, and the other sort of stay out of his way, and get the girls the other one doesn't want. LOL If your pen is big enough that they would both have space to stay out of each other's way, they should do fine. Just my opinion.
