I have a humidity question...

I am using a Little Giant Incubator for lock down and hatch. The indicator on the unit says 47% this sits on top of the eggs, my hydrometer which sits on the bottom of the unit says 76% humidity. April 13 is 21 days, hatch day 29 eggs. Is the humidity OK for hatch?

If your hygrometer is correct, Seems good, make sure that it doesn’t get way too high. Good luck hatching. Post photos if you can.

One has started to pip humidity is 80% Should I try to lower it?

edit: pip is at the wrong end.

I will just monitor it, when they hatch normally the RH will spike which is normal, just open the little vent on your incubator but not to go lower than 65.

@Pyxis can you post the link to your guide to assisted hatching? i can't seem to find it. May not be needed, but with a pip at the wrong end, you never know.

Update :Friday the 13th Hatch went well I had problems with the humidity (too low).
I set 36 egg, 28 made it to lock down, 3 didn't hatch (shrink wrapped in egg) 1 still in incubator (hatched with yolk not absorbed I think, I placed it in a cup back in it's shell don't know if it will make it tried to take pics did not show well.

Here are the chicks put the second to last in the brooder this morning.
