I have a pip! Update: 7/7 out!

It seems that my lazies are giving up. They pipped and then nada. We have some peeping. One egg pipped 12 hours ago. Starting to worry a bit.

Don't worry too much. And don't be tempted to 'help' them out! But you know that already, right? Twelve hours isn't that long. Some of them can take a full day after pipping before they do anything else. Especially if they pip on day 19 or 20, they might still have a last bit of developing to do before they're ready to pop out...

I refuse to do anything. Too scared I'd hurt the others. It was a little less frightening earlier when he was the lone pipper. Then I knew the peeps were from him. I actuallly think 3 of them are in the end hours of day 21. I set them before lunch on 2/27 and the other one will be starting day 21 before lunch. And is it normal that there is no fog or steam in my bator? Humidity says 66% but how should I know what that looks like?

Now I am just trying to make a step list... do they pip, absorb the yolk and then hatch. It seems most posts mention something similar to that. What are we looking at? What's going on from pip to zip?

Also Today I am supposed to add eggs to the bator. Total nightmare. I have six eggs that need to go in tonight.

Thanks for everyone's help and support. This is exciting and sucks all at the same time.

So #5 has pipped and 3 outta my 4 are making small progress. The 1st one to pip still seems very still. At times I think the crack bigger but not sure.

On a happy happy note... #5 is my question mark chick. At final candle I saw no movement. Was certain he was a quitter But #5 five is alive!!!! I will name him Johnny 5 if he makes it.

Up to 6 now. Still no movement from number one but I am still rooting for him. Nobody has even come close to being done. Only one left to pip. Here's hoping these guys make it out of the shell. We have one real loud one. Figure if it can get out the rest will follow. Something tells me that when he peeps that we are supposed to jump. lol

I see you have BO/EE's. That's what these guys are. Been dying to see what they will look like. Will they look like ginormous quail chicks like their dad did or will they be yellow like their mamas? If I get a hen or to can they lay colored eggs? So many questions... Got any answers

I never saw any movement when I candled my eggs and never heard anything till after they pipped I was sure I wasn't going to have any hatch from this batch. I'm up to 3 pipped and one moving.
