My young Old English Orpington laid huge double yokers for about a week when she first started laying, then quit laying altogether. She has not laid an egg in almost three weeks. She seems happy and healthy. She is active and does not appear to be sick or in distress. I've kept her in the coop the last few days thinking she was running off and hiding her eggs. We don't have a rooster. She's been in the coop three or four days and still no eggs. Is she just too immature still? Is that possibly all the eggs she'll lay? She is around 6 or 7 months old. She is by far the largest hen in the flock. Makes my Buff Orpington look small.
