I have a young pilgrim goose that is laying eggs to give away.

No they take a special carton and and a certified vet check before they can be placed in mail i would think. Especially going to a top water fowl farm state like New York.

@bluejeans I see you've found your New Mexico state thread I'd suggest posting this there. Someone will know someone I bet!
First i think i should give the person now interested some time to figure out a way to pick up the goose. Or realize that far out of state that it would be better to go through a hatchery that would send her some goslings.

At the post office you could probably get a flat rate box. I think it would cost more to buy goslings than to ship (with flat-rate).
It only safe to mail adult geese in fall and winter in a suitable carton for geese some one like me not in the business would also be wise to have a certified vet check to make sure that no state laws are broke when traveling through the state's. Their are though 35 hatchery places in the state of new york and many more in the neighboring states. There also is many other hatchery as well that list pilgrim geese holdings for sale and you now can buy a whole lot less than ten at a time do to heat packs.

that's funny I just figured out you been teasing me huh. ,? I deserve it i have fun teasing to as you most likly read some of my posts. I can imagine me trying to put her in one of those 8 dollar flat rate shipping boxes.

Yes, I admit that the flat rate option does not work :). Thanks for giving me some time..... I'll try to figure something out. You mentioned "Their are though 35 hatchery places in the state of new york and many more in the neighboring states." I haven't seen any around here, (although I live in the middle of the Adirondacks....). I just had an idea!:jumpy Are you coming up to NY by any chance, then you could bring me the chick....:)
