Female american pekin duck died between late yesterday and today she left two eggs which im trying to figure what i need to do to help them survive im new to this duck thing and was kind of forced into it when a stray male pekin duck walked right up to me and followed me home ive had him for 2 years the girl whom died ive only had for about 4months she laid her first batch of eggs and feel so terrible that she did because one of the eggs ruptured inside her and killed her. Im trying to incubate the eggs myself im using an indoor digital thermostate and i was told to keep at 99degrees i have them in a box with a few cut holes for air and hay with a broody lamp im super scared i may kill them by not control the temps correctly its either a degree high or degree low and im really just emotional that my baby died this is all i have of her still havent told my kids i also dont know how im supposed to keep temp regulated due to the fact i live fl so it get hot here through out yhe day cools at night someone please just give me correct and accurate information I've read almost everything i can find one this matter eggs were laid within the last 3-4 days
