i have given lay feed too early, what now?

Flock Raiser is a good choice but you are going to be just fine anyway. At that age they will be able to tolerate the layer feed no problem. Chickens are very hardy and resiliant animals. As for the going bad, if its sealed it will keep but if I were you I would just cut it 50/50 with the flockraiser and feed it to them. No worries!

the lay crumble is in a galvanized metal can in the chicken house. it's super hot here these days so there is no way to keep it temp controled without wheeling it into the human house on a dolly. i may just do the 50/50 thing because feeding them seperately is really hard and i wouldnt want the lay feed to go bad. i am grateful for everyones thoughts on this because i am no longer so worried.
