I have invented the Mini-Loupe (Cantaloupe)! :)

Squeezed lime on top is sublime. Lime sherbet inside,

O.K. Now I'm getting the flashlight and off to the garden on a mission.

I would love to grow those and mini watermelons! We never end up eating all of the big ones fast enough.

I had some weird tomatoes come up this year. I have a small vegi patch near the front door that was my experiment this year. I wanted to see how the tomatoes did compared to how they do in the garden. Well amidst the others came up a plant that I did not plant. A volunteer tomato. It is shaped like a banana pepper, but a little thicker in clumps of 4-5. They're very firm and waxy. They taste great with hardly any seeds. They're not dry, but they're not watery either. I plan to save the seeds and see how they come up next year. They're next to beefheart tomatoes. They also never had any bug issues or fungus problems. They only thing I can think of as to their origin was I had some Roma tomatoes I gave to the hens in the spring and after I dug up that spot they dragged one in there and up it came.
