It's apparently a fungus that turns the grass orange. It's pretty scattered all over my yard so sometimes I accidentally get some blades of grass with it on it when giving grass to my chickens. I just want to know if this could harm them? I'm not giving them big bushels of orange grass obviously, I avoid it at all costs, but some still tend to get in their grass pile because it is so widespread.

Here's some stuff about it:

What do you guys think?

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that there is no problem for the chickens with the small amount you must be giving them. If they were foraging in the yard, they may not eat it at all.

Did you ever get a satisfactory answer on this? My chickens have not been laying much, they're acting a bit unusual, a few have had trouble eating as if they have impacted crops but the vet didn't see much of a problem, and they're molting at unusual times.
