I would guess hens (and very pretty ones!) based on what Cynthia said. Mine look the same but replace the brown with green.

They look like sexlinks to me, all hens. The males would be barred.

Yahhh I was nervous I had 12 Roosters. They started to get waddles and combs faster than I thought they shoud. Made me nervous.

The Black Sex-link rooster photo FarmerKitty posted isn't a bad-lookin' guy but he looks a lot different than the hens.

Won't the black sex link male have a white spot on its head as a chick like the Barred Rock? I thought I read this on cackles website before. The females will be all black.

Those that you have look just like mine. here is some information that might help you.

Black Sex-Link also known as the BLACK STAR: A wonderful brown egg layer that will weigh a little over 5 lbs. The females are black with gold hackle and breast feathers and are egg laying machines. The males are black with white barring. (They will not retain the same characteristics in future.)

They are beautiful birds. I will get more in the future.
