What do you think this duckling could be??? How old do you think it could be???

close to 6-8 weeks old...probably a rouen or mallard. Depends on the size...same size as most ducks or larger, rouen. Smaller, as in tiny, mallard.

Very cute! I have some 6 week old cayugas that are in this funny-featehr head-too-big stage right now

If this helps any the person who gave them to me also gave me a pekin duckling the same age... The pekin is quite a bit bigger than the brown duckling

I think it is mallard...but 6 or 8 weeks...My babys mallards are only 3 weeks right now but look alot like that but still have their yellow...

If the peking the same age is a lot bigger, that is a mallard.

If it was close to the same size, it would be a rouen.

Its a rouen. Look at it compared to those other ducks(lings). Our mallard compared to the peking we have thats 3 weeks younger is teeny tiny!

Well, they eye stripes look a little rouen-ish.

You will know in another week for sure what you have...LOL

If it is a rouen, it will look like this handsome fellow on the left at about 8 weeks

I would say the baby in the first pic is about 3-4 weeks old. It looks like it still has down on its head. If it were 6-8 weeks old it would be totally feathered.
And I agree with Amosunknown, judging by the pekin baby behind it, I would say it is a rouen. Mallards are very small, almost as small as a call duck. That one would be towered-over by that pekin if it were a mallard!

I say it is a rouen, about 3-4 weeks old.
