I have no idea what I am doing

Literally just got home from 11 days away from the babies for the first time. I cried all the way to the airport but they were on good hands with their aunt. Mike and I went on a Caribbean cruise and had an amazing time. Lucky and Flynn will soon have legit parents and Mike and I got engaged while we were away. Need a few days to unwind and get back to normal and spend some much needed time with the ducks we missed terribly. I'll post some pics in the next couple of days. Both lucky and Flynn are doing great and lucky continues to lay one egg a day. She just doesn't take a break lol
Ya a a a a a!! :celebrate
Congratulations :clap
Lucky and Flynn will have the bestest duck daddys :love

Hi all. So far we have not had any issues with lucky and the eggs. Still getting one a day. Most of the time it is in one of many nests she has made but usually leaves it after she lays. This morning we watched her lay another egg on camera and she has been sitting on it all day and has not left it. I will be taking it just as soon as I get home but wondering what to expect when I try to take it and wanted to know if taking it will stop her from sitting in the nest all day if not what should I do.

Hi Steven :frow My dumb advice- Embrace the uncertainty, observe what happens and report back to us - with photos please!

Perhaps I jumped the gun. When I got home she was in the pool. As soon as I went over to the nest she jumped out and came over to say hello. I picked up the egg and showed her. She nudged it and just walked away. It's odd that she sat on it for almost 8 hours but it wasn't an issue taking it thank goodness. She has been such an angel since she started laying

Ok here is a good one for you all. Flynn has started losing some feathers and I've noticed that the feathers that are growing in on his sides and belly that were predominantly grey are now coming in like Lucky's feathers. I've tried to get a decent pic but this was all I could get. Is this normal?
