you got it...Im affraid I wont be able to get you tomorrow if I am in trouble. at what point considering tomorrow morning at 10 will be 24 hours since the exterior pip should I be concerned or is time not the issue? Do I just go by the color of the membrane? or the lack of activity from the chick? Its become a bit vocal this evening when I talk to itA folded towel would probably work, but it might snuggle in the fur until you get a stuffed cuddly to snuggle with... unless there's a chance it could get tangled in it?
Very adorable... oh, and I have plenty of laundry here waiting for you to do, no problem!![]()

ok thank you, im going to try to close my eyes for an hour or two and then I will check on the baby and see how we are doing. Again, I can not thank you enough for all of your help.As long as it is vocal or moving and membrane is white, I wouldn't worry about it... if it seems in distress, membrane dries and goes brown, peeping sounds weak, then I might intervene... but only open the air cell, and use either coconut oil, vaseline or an antibiotic ointment to apply to the inner membrane... that will keep it moist and make any veins visible... if there's veins visible, stop... if not, then see if it starts struggling to get out and give it a chance to do so... pulling a duckling out of the shell can be catastrophic if too early... let it tell you when it's ready...
