cant get it to chirp but then again its not like it was doing a lot of that over the last three days. Just seems to be banging around in there but not breaking anything which is what it has been doing since the weekend.

No the white rubbery membrane.....If it is too tough?...They need a tiny bit of help.....R
Not my first time and it almost sounds like it might be stuck a little but yet you never want to assist too much too soon....
 
How can the membrane be still intact and their be piping to the shell? seems there would have to be piping through the membrane first before hitting the shell. I thought one of my chicks had done this but looking at it closely and these were OEGB eggs so tiny the membrane had a slash in it.

Not intact as sealed but in the way and possibly like rubber....?
