Oh OK .good! I was just remembering when I had caged birds inside there was something about Teflon poisoning with hair dryers.

Well, like so many I stumbled on this thread late. I have to say honestly that I'm glad I WAS late, otherwise life around here would have been a total shambles while I hung around from minute to minute instead of doing what I had to do at home! As it is, I started from the first post and was riveted - totally captivated. I even had my coffee pot boil over at one point because I wasn't watching it! (Yes, I still use a stove top percolator.....) I couldn't leave until I knew how it all came out. Somehow I missed the tag when Mama Heating Pad was brought up, but that's totally on me -

First of all, Steven, there's nothing I can say about your patience, your compassion and your overall character that hasn't been said far better. And to all of those who sweated with you and Lucky, talked you through the panicked moments and joked with you through the most tense of them, well, those of you who know me how much I already valued you....that has grown tenfold.

There is just nothing more I can say at this point. My heart is happy. :love

I am so past my bedtime. LOL
Congrats Steven, remarkable man. Every 2 hrs ? I hope you broke down and bought a heating pad without the shut of at some point.
I have learned a lot from this thread. Your sleep deprivation is contagious, I NEVER want to incubate ducks and I am more dense then I realized. I was on the edge of my seat reading this start to finish , OMG is it going to make it ? Did it die? Will it be healthy ? When all I had to do was look at your avatar ! :lau Good night Steven, Good night Lucky
