I have no idea what is even wrong!

My almost three year old silkie hen used to be very fluffy and beautiful…she stopped laying eggs and little by little her head started losing feathers. She is very skinny and bony. I don’t know how to help her.

She's going into molt which is normal for this time of the year. Once they lose feathers and fluff, most of the time they look like skin and bones.
That’s what I thought at first…but the first time I noticed her changing was in July
 
Has she been broody this year? Have you checked her over really well for lice and mites (best checked well after dark)? My Silkies always molt after being broody and now it's time for everyone's annual molt. I wish you the best with your beautiful hen ❤️
