I have searched & searched: Bantam/Small leghorn cross eggs, will chick grow to size?

Out of curiosity did the chick have down feathers of any color but white?

Yes! Black specks down the back. I'll find an image of Marilyns last daughter by a BR roo. Looked like a hawk lol All her chicks hatch white then end up feathering out in splash patterns that compliment the rooster

Days 20 and 17. No action even from my two eggs from a pairing notorious for hatching day 19/20 which makes me REALLY happy considering I want everyone to have lots of time to bake. Lol Temps are holding stable. Humidity outside has been 90+ % so still only adding a few tbs here and there through the port. I kept myself busy yesterday making nest curtains and doing yard work. Thank goodness I have a appt today plus I have some Yoga videos to make for my channel (I post new every Mon and Thurs) and we are grilling out later. I just keep hoping to hear a peep when I walk by lol
