Woo hoo! Good for you! I know exactly where you are coming from, I stopped getting on the scale over a year ago when it hit 255. I don't know exactly how much, but I know I was somewhere right at 260 and I decided NO MORE. I have changed my relationship with food, I do not deny myself anything but I do make better choices and I am learning that I don't hate to exercise I just hate to find the time to do it. I actually enjoy it and I am currently planning to do a 5K marathon in the spring. I am down to 171 now and I went from wearing a super tight size 20 to slipping into a size 12 dress with plenty of room to spare last weekend. Today at the mall I tried on a shirt size large... too big, size medium... TOO BIG... size smalll... IT FITS!! Now I know that this shirt was obviously just cut big but I am no longer held to a size 2X and best of all I feel healthy. I like the way I feel about myself.

It isn't easy, but it is possible to do it. It is a journey that you have to take step by step but it is so worth it.

Great job!

I have never really focused on exercise, but I should, and I know I enjoy it alot!!! With all these animals and the issue with the child Robert, it is hard to leave the nest for a workout. However, I do park far away and walk.

diets do not work. you lose, then you gain back plus! lots of simple changes can help. when you do housework, make it aerobic, do it to music. when you go to the bathroom, bring your knee up to the opposite elbow with each step. looks silly but good for the abs. i love bread and that is my downfall. if you're hungry, eat protein. stays with you longer. hardboiled egg with a little s&p. i do make my own bread, and i slice very thin and toast for a fix. sprouts...good on everything! all kinds of sprouts. raw food, digests easier and you get more from raw than cooked. simple life changes can make a huge difference.

so proud of you for losing the extra pounds without even knowing! that has to feel good. we won't talk about how much i used to weigh, but i will say i do have to watch it. yes i love food, and don't deprive myself. but just have to be smart.

thank you for sharing.

I was so hoping when I opened this you were going to say they just announced marshmallows are fat free and no calories!!!!

when my back started hurting really bad, my therapist gave me a paper with exercises. ugh. so i started doing them halfheartedly.. and suprisingly they made my pain tolerable. so now i am doing them every day, and each week i add more repetitions as it gets easier, and incorporate different exercises. like a 10 pound dumbell, pushups, etc. i do not take drugs for pain, ( i have chickens for depression), so i would rather do something natural, and exercise does work. boosts metabolism, mood. and tis the season! we all love food but sometimes it can be our worst enemy! glad for you girl!

Congrats on your better health stats! I have another 25 pounds to lose, and hope my bp will go down too.
