Hello my name is daisy.

Im now, as of today, going to care for 3 chicken hens my step dad abandoned. At our house. He is no longer living here with us. Soo I've decided to join this group in order to learn about information that will help care for the hens. Care as in their health, feeding , habitat, environment and last but not least their happiness. I have named them Doris, Helga and Beatrice. Tehe .

Hi! Welcome to BYC! I am happy that you are here, though I wish the circumstances were better. Sorry about your step dad :( Just put one foot in front of the other and do the best you can and you will be fine.
It looks like your new gals have a nice place... and you are giving them delicious snacks that I am sure they appreciate. :D Make sure you don't give them too many snacks- no more than 10% snack food- for their health and happiness, they need some good nutrition :p especially because they look like they are missing some feathers/molting(?) and that takes a lot out of them.
I'm sure they are going to love your company. Do you have a chair out there so you can sit and watch them. That way you can bond and be more apt to notice their behavior, good and bad. Plus it is always fun to watch chickens. I like their names.
I see your pretty good with the camera- chicken photos are always loved on BYC especially if you have a question or problem.
Did step dad leave food? Do you know how old your new charges are? How about breeds? I think I see a Buff Orpington (orange one) Rhode Island Red (self explanatory) nd an Americana.
