I can't help it I have to ask as this was so random as I was walking through the Walmart garden section.

Has anyone fed bird seed from the garden section to their birds? Can you? I'm legitimately curious! I don't plan on it but it was just a random thought in my head, "hmm...wonder if the chickens would like that. It does have black sunflower seeds in it."

I was thinking that. But again a random thought while walking through Walmart. Things like this keep me sane and out of prison on the other side of the bars(I'm an officer).

In the winter i fed mine suet cakes that you put in those little metal cages made for birds they loved them a good boredom buster

Depending on ingredients it's probably fine. Back when I had a bird feeder mine liked going over and cleaning up anything that fell out of the feeder.
