Second chic definately a Cher, first chick... I am still going with Cher.

Super jealous. Tried two Almond trees out here and the frost killed them entirely. They tried suckering and coming back again but somehow died again, so, they're finished for good. Still have other nut trees around though. Our frosts aren't that hard, they just are earlier and later than most other places.

Sometimes you might have luck planting them on the south side close to the house.

Because I needed to see the new chicks at the feed store and since I needed to buy feed I brought home two new polish chicks, one gold laced with beard, one silver laced without beard. Darn I have an incubator full of growing embryos and more hatching eggs on the way. Darn I am really overstepping my capacity. But watching chicks grow up is so much fun ! Hope there will be homes for the extras.

No greater truth than this...lol.

I had several broodies this year, so hatched out 20ish chicks, then purchased 13 more bantam chicks. >.> I'm not quite sure how that happened.

I am currently designing new chicken areas (I free range) in case the Bantam breeds don't mix well with what I have and in case I was lucky enough to actually get some pairs.


And I hope you are right and I have 2 Chers, of course then I will need to get a roo. <.<

Well thanks for the answers. I have no experience with baby polish except buff laced. It doesn't matter much since poor chick was just an impulse and I have no plans but the silver laced sure are pretty, especially when we have Josh around to post his beauties.
