I have to talk POLISH!

Thanks Tina, this helps me a lot, especially since they are from a hatchery. They do seem to be thriving and healthy other than this behavior so I won't worry any more. Oh, and one more thing - we have a little GLW the same age that has become buddies with one of the Polish. She has started to mimic the behavior of her buddy!

Curious-er and curious-er.

Hello Everyone! I have been trying to figure out the gender of my Polish bantam chicks for several weeks now. I have an idea what they are but would love some confirmation

. The chicks are about six weeks old. The first picture is of "Beldar", She/he does not have wattles and seems to have a full crest.I think that Beldar is a pullet.

The last two pictures are of "Primat". He/she just started to develop red wattles

. Does this guarantee that he is a roo? There have been no crows so far. I have the feeling that I will have to switch their names around

. I would love everyones feedback. Thanks!!

Hello Polish people! I just got two Polish chicks the other day. I love them!
This is a White:

And this one was sold to me as a Golden Laced, but I don't think so. Some said it may be a Red. What color do you people think he/she is?

I had to post pictures of my new chicks...well some of them.
I bought 5 golden polish, 5 white polish, 5 silver polish, 2 wc black, 3 buff lace and I was given 1 extra! I also got 5 crevecoeurs and a free rare exotic chic.

Our extra chick

I bought them from McMurry hatchery. I must admit other than a beak dipped in water they were mostly left alone the first day I received them. I was very sick and on bed rest. This evening I finally was able to check them. I found that some of their eyes were stuck shut. I washed them and they are fine. We also have almost half of them with pasty butt. Other than that they are truly wonderful!

Primat is a puzzler. I see things that make me think pullet and also things that make me think roo. I'm not the greatest at this, but I think you are right o the Beldar being a pullet...but I am not sure on Primat.

This really is a puzzler! I can't figure out Primat's gender. The wattles made me nervous, but the crest is on the full side. The mystery continues

I have two pre-teen Polish that I think are male. But I have not have good luck is guessing gender on this breed. They are a mystery until they lay or crow.
