I have to talk POLISH!

I use Oxine for cleaning, in the incubator water and as an egg dip to kill bacteria that may be on the surface of the egg before putting them in the incubator. It kills all known forms of bacteria and can even treat birds with upper respiratory disease. It is amazing stuff! But you will need to order it. I got mine through Amazon. Otherwise I put just a tiny bit of bleach in the water when cleaning my incubator and set it in the sun to dry. The sun kills bacteria. After a hatch my incubator used stink to high heaven!!!

But now that I use the Oxine in the water there is barely any smell. And it is totally safe!!

Here is the website with the info on Oxine~ HAPPY HATCHING!

Wash with baby wipes? Household wipes? The 'bator will be in the laundry room, out of reach of cats and children, and I'll run it for 24 hours before I get eggs.

Silver laced bantams for my brother, buff laced standards for me.

Please help me with my son's Buff laced pullet. Last Saturday I was holding her and noticed the bottom of her feet were cracked so much some were bleeding (small amount). They were all dried out feeling. Her legs are okay. No raised scales. So I pulled her out to put her inside so I could treat the bottom of her feet. I have used neosporin, some Bannix (is anitfugal/baterial to prevent invection). I am not sure what it is. I dont think its mites since her leg is okay. Today they are not bleeding but still cracked, skin looks rough around her feet. What can I do to fix this?

Oh she is oily looking because I dipped her legs in cooking oil thinking it was mites. So she is slick.

Try VetRx for poultry on the legs and feet. It may help...
