I have to talk POLISH!

Wait: You said white crested black.

They definately sent you the wrong chicks.

Get in touch with them (Ideal?) and have them refund you your money on them. They messed up.
nope pretty sure i said Black crested White, My DH said not to worry about a refund or a replacement it is not worth the hastle for two chicks; said if they replaced the chicks we would have proably have to get 25 more and we don't have room for that. i'm Just disapointed if they are white/blue because that is why i orderd from ideal to get the black cested whites other wise i would have ordered somewhere i could get sexed chicks insted of strate run.

With the Black Crested Whites the color is not stable yet there are not enough birds in the gene pool. I started with 10 chicks and was very lucky to end up with 1 good roo and 2 good hens. All of them have some slight lacing on their chests that is not suppose to be there but other than that I am happy to work with them. You will be shocked at how your chicks will change but remember you have hatchey stock so they may not be perfect but they will still be cute!

Oh, i know this i have read that several places, and i wouldn't mind if they came out splashes but i will be dissapointed if they turn out to be white crested blues....and i was curious to know if these were acutly the right color or if some kind of mistake was made. So do you think these chicks look like they could be Black crested whites?

They look to be white crested blues.

ARG! Toulouse (my new silver laced) just started trying to crow! And he's INSIDE my apartment! LOL wasn't as loud as the barred rock I tried to keep last week but enough to make me throw him outside and build a door to the chicken coop tonight in the dark!

lol They got some pipes on them. XD
Now you see the woman told me they were quieter than other roosters, and so have a few other polish people. I'm REALLY hoping that's the case so we can't hear him from inside the house when he is locked in his coop. If we can't hear him our neighbors can't and that's all that matters!

They might be quieter than other breeds, but you'll still hear him. Mine are loud but they do usually sleep all night. (I used to have a silkie rooster who started crowing at 2am, hence the "used to have" lol). I'm lucky since my neighbors like the sound of crowing. Maybe yours will too.

Well I brought a barred rock home last weekend and didn't realize how loud they were and had to put him in my car to muffle the noise. I really hope I can't hear him from my bedroom. It's on the wall nearest the coop, and the coop is on the other side of the yard, so maybe it will be okay. I figure, if I can't hear him in my house then neither can anyone else, and even if I can still hear him outside anyone who's outside is already awake. We also plan to buy a house as soon as possible so hopefully by the end of winter.
