I have to talk POLISH!

thank you. I am one of the least patient people around, but I am also stubborn. The first batch of Crele Polish eggs I bought hatched out a in every color under the rainbow. Totally disappointing, but there were a couple in the batch I could work with. I've hatched over 500 chicks to get the where I am today. Here is a couple of pictures of the first "crele" eggs I hatched. I wish I got better pictures.

The trick to this project is breeding lots and lots of chicks.

And then hatch more and more! I am going to post a reply post with some pics I took today. Every chick that I hatch having stripes is a rooster. Red is female. The judge I spoke to about them (was showing a F2 roo) told me he thinks that with the way my breeding is going they are looking in his opinion to be sex-linked. Don't know how it happened this way though. The pics in the post I will do shows my latest F3 which finally has red wing feathers. That was the one point that the judge told me I needed to have. So...will be showing him this spring to say what they say about him.

No one wanted to stand up today....guess the warmer weather was just too much to not enjoy! Both are close to 4 months old so I am sure they will still change a bit more after their first adult molt.

@Juststruttin...where did you find the material that is behind the chickens in your first pic? Also....what kind of rock are you using? I have mine on sand but having problems with consistent downpours of rain running it out to the outside of pen. Frustrating!

Still trying to figure this one out. Boy or girl?

I put a small rock wall around the inside of my coop, right against the chicken wire. I haven't had a washout issue with the sand in my coop.

It is bamboo fencing from Home Depot. Great for chicks be older chickens pick at it. The gravel is pee gravel. The runs were old horse paddocks so the footing and drainage was pretty good.
