Anyone have Tolbunts? :cd
Thanks, the one pullet that hatched with the 3 boys is solid off white. The other two boys are white with faint orange markings. Thing is that I am not sure if the pullet is from the chocolate cuckoo hen. She might be out of my WC blue with some cuckoo markings hen. According to the chicken color calculator, the pullet probably hatched from the blue hens egg.Wow, gorgeous birds. Your roos look like Red Pyle with barring. Super cool. What do the girls look like? Yes, you should certainly work on that project.
ThanksChikee, he's amazing!![]()
That is one of the frustrating problems I am having with my crests...white. But pretty much every chick including the females have a white dot. Though it seems to disappear in the males it tends to stay longer with the females. Some have lost it completely when they matured to adults. And I can't figure where it came from.Your birds are stunning!
I have Crele Penedesenca and Cream Legbar chicks which are both auto sexing breeds. The male chicks hatch with a white dot on their heads and the females don't. The Crele Polish should be able to be sexed the same way. Have you noticed if your males hatch with a white dot?
The problem I think I have is that my line has white in their crests which makes auto-sexing difficult. I have been trying to breed out that white but it keeps popping up. It is proving harder to get rid of then I had hoped. I am fairly certain that my line was not started with a BBR/barred cross. I don't think I will be able to achieve auto-sexing unless I introduce BBR into the line.
I have been focusing most of my energy on my crele laced project. The babies are not auto sexing, or even sex linked but I can tell the boys from the girls pretty early. Once the down falls out and the feathers start to emerge, the girls have a mille fleur pattern that eventually turns into lacing and the boys start getting barring in their tails.
I would like to see them myself...it has been so hard to get new blood for my group...I only found 5 people plus you who have crele in the US. I am sure there are others...just wish they where selling eggs. But then it worries me that I may be buying from the original ones I did under a different name.Roos are pretty, wonder what the girls look like.
Does anyone know where I can get some frizzle Polish hatching eggs?
