I have to talk POLISH!

I have been breeding bantam and large fowl polish for a few years now. I have yet to have an aggressive rooster

Unfortunately my red man attacked my daughter the other day but I am leaving the consideration that school has been taken her away from them an not much time for her durring the week to handle them I have been handling them

This happened to my son with his BL boy. It only got worse. He even flocked him in the face. He since has been rehomed for free. He never bothered me. After months my son finally said to find him a new home

Yeah I figured that he is what he is a rooster
I have him in with some of my girls now going to try to get some babies off of him first with my red polish hen I don't know if that's how it works but right now I am incubating all polish eggs I have had 5 hatch so far but their not his so hopefully I can get some red babies off of him he is georgous

Nope I have to correct my self I have another one hatching so hopefully by the end of day I will have six every day I been putting 3 to 4 eggs in incubator is their hatch rate poor I been throwing out the ones that are on 27 day an no movement I try to give them a little time the one hatching now is marked the 17th

I had a polish rooster that was insane and really mean..I eventually had to put him down. After a lot of reading, what I do know is if they come at me like they are going to attack I snatch them up and tuck them under my arm at my hip. I push their head toward the ground and hold it a few seconds. Then I remove my hand and wait. If he picks his head up...I do it again until he gives in and keeps it down. Then I put him down. I only have one rooster that I have had to repeat this with. The others it has worked well.

Of all the roos I've ever had, JG's, Polish, EE's, Orps, I have never had a mean rooster. Except this D'Uccle roo. Everytime I turned my back he would slam into my legs. I tried rehab for months. He wouldn't give it up. He went bye bye.

New subject. I had 5 Polish eggs under a silkie. To get in the silkie coop you have to go thru a 4 foot high door, up a ramp thru a small chicken door. Something took an egg out from under her, broke it and ate it right there in the coop, front is open to hardware cloth. Crow?

Hi All,

Got 3 baby polish chicks about 2 weeks old i would guess. Got them from a feed store and they told me that they were 10 days old then...but i dont believe they are 3 weeks old at this point. I will hopefully post some pics this evening of these guys and get some opinions. i think i have a WCB, silver-laced, and a buff laced....but from the pics ive seen after reading through this forum i believe that one might be a red...do the reds have a darker red to their fluff? or are they similar to the buff in color?
