That roo sure is beautiful!!!!!!!
How old are they now?

They are around 7 months now....the female should start laying soon. She is makes a nest and sits in it. SO....I don't think it will be long before she leaves me something. I will keep you posted. The pullet's crest still needs to fill in more...but I am really proud of them. The pics don't show all the gold on the roo especially on his hackles. The pullet is getting a bit on her as well.

Love all the new pics! As for my favorite....I started out with a buff laced who caught my heart and started my love for this breed, but I wanted a WCB soooo bad! I now have WCB, Silver Laced, Splash, Black. I'm in love with them all! I'll have to part with some of the WCB roo's and I'm interested in getting some blue's so I'll keep the self black, leakage and all and I think I didn't expect to enjoy the splash so much.

I also started with the buff laced and think they are beautiful. I then bought eggs hoping to get WC chocolate and WC Khaki chicks and ended up with one WC Khaki Cuckoo pullet and one dark blue pullet with cuckoo markings in her crest that must be an off color but cute. I have to say that the WC Khaki Cuckoo is my favorite color right now and my girl is VERY friendly! I still want some WC chocolates and WC blues. Actually I want ALL the colors!

I use a saw to cut off the spurs. Less bleeding that way if any. I have used dog clippers but my roosters had bled a lot and stopping it was hard. Then I had a friend cut off the spurs and he used a saw. It was much easier.
