Oh, I'm so sorry for you with a migraine, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I hope it doesn't last long.
She was sold as a project Crele. Out of a total 20 eggs, 2 hatched a few months ago, one was Cuckoo and one was Crele. They died. One just kept falling asleep. The other got killed by a hawk. Now there's this one who was the only chick from the last 10 eggs sold a Polish cRELE project. Not even close! To top it all off, since she was all alone, I ordered some chicks from a hatchery that would send them soon. But minimum of 10. I kept 2 and gave the rest to a friend just so she wouldn't be alone.

She came from a seller on Ebay. What lousy eggs. Most were not fertile. One stunk up my bator, ewwww!. Not quality eggs, but the only ones I could find. I'll be getting better ones the next time around.

She will probably still look like a poorly laced GLP. But I will always tell her that she's pretty!

I don't think Polish girls are timely with anything. And, for example, Orps think laying is their duty in life. Polish girls think their duty is to just walk around and be eye candy.
Now the roos are different. I've seen mine active 12 weeks.

Reportback as I just got back from vacation:

... My first Polish egg appeared on 22 December! I've been getting one or two little white eggs every day since then. They make a terrible fuss when laying. Often they are all three upstairs in the nesting/roosting area of their coop with the other two loudly encouraging whoever is trying to lay. The girls have even been sitting a bit.

In other news, we had a cockroach in the bathroom last night. I went to fetch Tinychicken, my little white-crested black Polish, and she ate it right up. My husband and brother-in-law thought it would be too big for her, but she had no qualms. She has always been the cleverest of them all.
