I have to talk POLISH!

Pics
Hi all, if any of you know a Polish keeper in north central Alabama that visits this thread or forum, I found one of his/her birds

Where I live is in the country everyone knows everyone, but I do not know anyone who has Polish chickens. Everyone around here just has basic feed store breeds.

Looked like a hen, had a black body with a white head, very beautiful chicken. RIP little chicken!!

Josh your pictures make me want to cry hysterically, hahah.

Hey guys guess what! I am now getting a fertile polish egg

the question here is hat kind of mess is made when you cross a GL roo to a buff laced hen?

I really do hope that Creles do not use GLP, It is repetitive, like Illia mentioned.

My guess (am I naive here?) is Creles have to be several steps, such as breeding for barring, breeding for colored barring, etc. Gosh I do sound naive.

Unfortunately there dosen't seem to be very many polish in Oklahoma.

You get a project

When you cross gold to buff take those f1 offspring and breed back to buff.
It enhances the buff & the lacing.

Oh cool thanks! I probably won't make a project of it, maybe just let her set the eggs and see what weird feathering her babies have.

Sorry to hear you lost these two beauties. They looked like a nice pair.

Thanks, I cried for hours, then went to work and cried for hours. I really enjoyed these two. I would put a sheet on my bed and play with them. I still get choked up.

Not sure if I shared the first pic of my boy Rock. The second picture is today. He normally stands tall and proud but he'd just been chastised by my big GLW roo for jumping on one of the ladies. Thanks for letting me share. Any comments are welcome. I've got two polish eggs in the incubator due tuesday and will be ordering 12 more this week. I'd like to get him some ladies. He's just getting his crest and tail back from the guinea bullies that were in the yard. He is 6 months old. Sarah
