These early Creles are so pretty. I know many are working on the breed standard, but I am enjoying all the project birds out there, those Creles are all so stunning.

Several months ago, if not over a year ago, someone once posted some photos of some gold laced, barred Polish hens. I thought they were beautiful I never thought I'd see those two colors combined, and wow, it was awesome! Then I learned it was Crele in progress, and, honestly, I thought the color as itself was too awesome, but, who knows where Crele will actually turn to. . . But honestly if it DID become a barred GL, it's a bit repetitive I admit. Tolbunt is mottled GL, Crele is barred GL? See my point.

Still, beautiful!

I agree. The crele project birds that I've seen have some great colors and patterns.....whether they are intended or not. I love multi-colored, multi-patterned birds even if they are just mutts or pets or projects.

I wonder how easy it is to find a cuckoo polish, (barred) or how would one make one, it almost seems that the projects look like they go towards barring in a different color, like Buff, or red.

I think Justinstruttin's lemon or red cuckoo looks to me like a sturdy base to create a Tolbunt on.

First time around several months ago, I hatched a cuckoo and a Crele (I think). One just died at 8 weeks. The other got eaten by a hawk. But I think those 2 colors were the way to go. I loved these colors.

The colorful one would have been some special roo.
I would love to know how to "cuckoo" a Polish.
