I have to talk POLISH!

I have been breeding bantam and large fowl polish for a few years now. I have yet to have an aggressive rooster

All my bantam Polish are super sweet and gentle

I think I'm getting to know the polish breeds much better after doing some research, but I'd like to run my guesses across you Polish experts if you don't mind

They are all from IDEAL, they're a week and a half old and get cuter every day their little fluff ball on top gets bigger!

Red crested red Polish? yes

Golden Laced Polish? yep

Silver Laced or maybe Mottled Houdan? not sure

Black Crested Black Polish? no ideal dosen't have that color

Buff Laced Polish? nope i will say is a red also

No idea on this one! He's as white as my sultans but no feathered legs (most likely a black crested white I'm so jealous i really want one that color could also be a white cerested blue}

My guesses are based on pictures, not experience, so please correct me if I'm wrong!
this is what my chicks i orderd from ideal looked like.

red crested red

Gold laced

buff laced

white crested blue (i ordered black cersted whites and the gave me the wrong color)

silver laced.

I am starting eggs from my bantam buff laced Polish today. This is a test hatch of eggs from the two pullets I hatched last year, so I am anxious to see what they produce

Okay here are mine. They sure have changed it just a few weeks. They are a little messy I worked in the barn instead of changing their boxes today.

I got all four at the same time and I'm amazed at how much bigger a couple of them are now. The blue is huge in comparison to the others.I wonder if I have full size and bantam.

I believe this one is a white crested blue, but some one said it was a black crested white when I posted a pick when I got it. Can you tell yet if its a roo or hen?

WCB.

Hen or Roo?

Not sure about this one. It kinda looks like it will be gold laced, but it has a white crest that hasn't started to grow yet. It is smaller than the other two. They are in a brooder with GL Wyandotts and mixed chicks.

Red Crested Red? This one is really small It is in with Silkies, Bantam, and Turkey poults(to clumsy to go with big chicks) It is feathering slower too.

What do you think?

My guess is that the WC blue is a pullet and the 2 WC blacks are roosters. The other two are so far behind them in development that I'm not sure, but I think the dark brown chick is a pullet and the other one is a rooster.

This is my first Polish, but that is my guess too. I only have 1 WCB. I just put two pics on of it. When I bought them the guy at the store said he thought I had 3 hens and a roo because of their tails. ??? Not sure about that, but if I have two hens I feel lucky. lol I really like the blue, it is the one that looks like it has a cowlick on the back of its head. I thought it might be a frizzle for a while. Its feathers are kinda wild. Do you think the small two are bantam?

Hard for me to say whether they are bantam or not because I have never had large fowl, but the two are so much smaller, that could be the case. I guess time will tell

This is very good to know! I am trying to figure out if I should keep one of mine or not. I think I might have 3 or 4 of 6 so one is my limit. I have kids and have been reluctant to keep a roo for that reason. They are very involved with the chickens.
